Despite the windy day and and the cosiness of our home, we have not lost sight of our Sunday morning. The thought that a hot drink was waiting for us somewhere and that landscapes were different because of the wind strength made me courageous.

I wish you a peaceful 2015! ! !

Boil the Brussels sprouts with salt for about 5 minutes and then drain it.
Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 180°, sauté the mussels with a small quantity of olive oil, garlic and salt to taste. Slice tomatoes. Then, with joy, place the Brussels sprouts, the mussels and the tomatoes in a baking pan and season it with black pepper and a small quantity olive oil. Bake it for 20 minutes and serve hot. ♥

But they are still very thirsty to close our curtains to the riches of creation.

Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle bells, jingle bells
It was still dark when I heard the singing of the first birds announcing the arrival of winter. Sunday is the day that my husband has a long training run and last Sunday I could not keep up. I’m almost never asleep when he returns home. Instead I stay in bed thinking about nature waking up.
I was never an early bird even when I was an athlete. I practised swimming for 10 years and aerobics for 6 and these activities were always after sunset. A few Sundays when I follow my early bird for his exercises, I spend my time enjoying the blossoming of a new day (Early Birds). I remember, another Sunday it was raining and I knew that the sun would not shine, so I preferred to sleep in the car. I think for each effort, the important thing is to try. =)
When the sun broke the silent darkness of Mdina today, someone announced the start of Malta’s traditional Xmas Road Race – Mdina 2 Spinola. Before that, the cold wind made all athletes raise their legs more often, be more anxious to advance to the yellow line and then have the freedom to fly with their legs a distance of 17 km. As the wife of one of them, I know very well that behind that yellow line and movement of the lower limbs, was the routine for him to be over there more prepared and confident about the limits.
So many limits discovered every morning in which he wakes up early and in time he wins the protection or suppresses the quilt and hugs. A lot of limits discovered in so many repetitions of kilometres covered by the 1000 metres, pleasure or sleep. Sometimes, I know, what it feels like to be a snail on the road after rain. I think it magical. 🙂 But also are many and rewarding pleasures when nature blooms in your eye and draws the Magrelinho athlete’s body.
Behind that yellow line is the persistence in the search for himself and trying to enlarge horizons. Behind it all there are those who are without a number on the belly, but they’re always willing to encourage them to continue.
Tomorrow we have a break and a long hug. 🙂 ♥
Onward and forward!

Avante e em frente!
Three main ingredients with a rustic look. Inspired by my culinary inventions, this is a dish with pork meat. 🙂 I decided to prepare the meat with sauce of apricots with Vermouth wine and ground black pepper. The flavour was great with carrots and potatoes.

“Sailing is necessary”! It is not always possible to make a dish using only one pan. Inspiration, ventilate the home, hear a good song and dirtying the pan were part of the preparation. 🙂

In the end, everything is rewarding and the feeling is so growing.
😀
No final, tudo é gratificante e o sentimento é tão crescente.
